(Tracy’s) Mom’s Homemade Fudge Recipe:
2 cups sugar
2/3 cup milk
2 tablespoons corn syrup
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 oz unsweetened bakers chocolate
2 tablespoon margarine
1 teaspoon vanilla
STEP 1:
In saucepan add: sugar, milk corn syrup, chocolate.
(simmer on stove until it passes the cold water test. Get one cup of cold water. Drop a teaspoon of the mixture in. If it forms a ball in the water, it’s done)
STEP 2:
Add margarine (DO NOT STIR!)
STEP 3:
Cool mixture to 130 degrees before stirring.
STEP 4:
Add vanilla to saucepan.Beat until chocolate turns from sheen to dull.
234 degrees with a candy thermometer.
Place mixture on greased dinner plate and put in refrigerator.
