“Pants on the Ground” Breaks American Idol Ground
Here’s a great midlife adventure! 62 year old Larry Platt defied American Idol age gravity with his audition. Not only did he take a risk with a very average voice, his “Pants on the Ground” song is the first viral hit of the new decade! Of course Simon quickly dismissed him because of his age (then his singing voice). It just proves that society still resists the fact that older people are vital and bring a lot to the table (and stage) of life. Good for you Larry Platt! As Simon says, (yes, I know) “I fear this song could be a hit.” Looks like his fears are being realized! Congrats Larry Platt!

I LOVE me some “Pants on the Ground” and yes, he’s a viral maniac…good for him! So, what he broke a rule (age), but he brought joy to people and I can guarantee you he’ll be on the finale show – we may have another William Hung (was that his name?) in our midst.
